Laura James

Research Assistant

When Laura isn't gallivanting throughout beautiful Tassie on foot or bike, she is dragging the groups focus to the Australian agricultural landscape. Her long term goal of unraveling the genetics of flowering time for Australian adapted lentil and chickpea, aims to allow expanded adaption across Australian, it's probably a big ask. She used to think her doggo was the neediest for her attention, then along came growing lentils in the glasshouse...

The Green Fuse research group acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal peoples as the first inhabitants of lutruwita (Tasmania) and the traditional custodians of the lands on which we conduct our research. We pay our respects to elders past and present.
